Colombia. With a large participation both in person and online, the official launch of the Building Automation Summit 2026 (BAS 2026) took place, a key meeting for the Latin American building automation ecosystem.
The presentation was held at the Bihao – Cocina Colombiana restaurant, in Medellín, and was broadcast on YouTube and LinkedIn, reinforcing its hybrid reach and regional focus.
The event, organized by Latin Press, Inc., a company specializing in B2B technical media and event production for Latin America, brought together representatives of leading companies, sector media and professionals linked to automation, sustainable construction and digital transformation.
During the day, several highlights took place:
- Keynote speech by Lucas Valencia, CEO of Ultimate Technology, entitled "Intelligent operation defines the value of the asset. Automation as a business", in which he shared success stories related to energy efficiency and digitalisation of buildings.
- Central presentation of BAS 2026, by Kristel Osorio and Víctor Alarcón, who detailed the thematic axes of the next cycle: efficiency, sustainability and integration.
- Symbolic ceremony of the CALA Awards, which recognized excellence in lighting in the region, accompanied by audiovisual recording.
The activity concluded with a networking space, thanks to sponsors and allies, and the invitation to actively participate in BAS 2026.
