Chile. With an agenda focused on innovation, sustainability and professional development, Expo Frío Calor Chile 2026 ended after three intense days held at Centro Parque, consolidating itself as the main meeting point for the HVAC/R sector in the country.
Declared an International Fair by the Ministry of Finance through Exempt Decree No. 119, this edition brought together nearly 3,000 visits and more than 50 market brands, together with authorities, academia and representatives of the national and international industry, evidencing the growth and global projection of the event.
During the fair, public authorities participated, including the seremis of Environment and Energy of the Metropolitan Region, as well as institutions such as ChileValora of the Ministry of Labor, the Ozone Unit of the Ministry of the Environment, Fundación Chile, the Agency for Sustainability and Climate Change of CORFO and ANESCO Chile. This presence strengthened public-private dialogue around energy efficiency and sustainability.
In the international arena, the participation of representatives of ASHRAE, managed by the Chile Chapter and Asia Consulting, which contributed to strengthening ties between Latin America and the Asian continent, stood out.
In terms of training and professional development, the fair had the participation of INACAP and the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH), in addition to the sponsorship of the Graduate School of the University of Chile. Likewise, the support of sponsors, media partners from Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Peru, as well as exhibiting companies and visitors was recognized.
Recognition of female leadership in the industry
As part of the opening day, the awards ceremony for the Women in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration 2026 Contest was held, an initiative aimed at making visible and promoting female participation in the sector.
In this edition, the company Afrisan won first place, standing out for its commitment to equity, inclusion and the development of female talent within the HVACR industry.
The recognition was presented by the Ozone Unit of the Ministry of the Environment, together with the Seremi of the Environment of the Government of Chile and a representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), reaffirming the importance of generating spaces that promote female leadership in the sector.
Technical agenda and networking drive the development of the sector
Throughout the three days, Expo Frío Calor Chile 2026 offered a complete program of technical and commercial talks, business meetings and discussions, which brought together technicians, professionals, companies and representatives of the public sector.
Among the topics addressed, he highlighted the evaluation aimed at the certification of labor skills, underlining the importance of training and professionalization for the development of the sector. Likewise, the public debate played a relevant role in the space promoted by the Agency for Sustainability and Climate Change, where key regulatory matters for the industry were analyzed.
In the technical field, Germán Fuentes, from OTEC CECRA, presented the talk "Refrigerant Leaks: A comprehensive look at a basic problem", generating great interest among the attendees.
The fair also had the participation of prominent exhibiting brands such as Bitzer, Instaplan, Johnson Controls, Multiaire, Aermec, Afrisan, Sodeca and Copeland, which strengthened commercial and technological exchange.
One of the highlights was the cycle of normative talks developed by ASHRAE specialists, where Favio Clavijo, Juliana Pellegrino, Guto Ríos and René González addressed issues related to indoor air quality, hospital design and international standards.
With these results, Expo Frío Calor Chile 2026 consolidates itself as a key space for knowledge, collaboration and professional updating of the HVACR industry in the region.
