Canada. The RC-RemoteAccess software, developed by Reliable Controls, recently obtained certification from the BACnet Test Laboratories (BTL), an international distinction that guarantees interoperability, functionality and performance in building automation systems.
This certification positions RC-RemoteAccess as a reliable and secure solution for the remote management of smart buildings, as it has end-to-end encryption and support for BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC), which allows the protection of sensitive information that circulates between devices and networks.
"Achieving BTL certification for RC-RemoteAccess reinforces our commitment to standardized integration and helping facility managers protect their assets from cybersecurity threats," said Sean Toohey, product manager at Reliable Controls.
The solution allows operators to manage automation systems remotely, without compromising operational safety. "With RC-RemoteAccess, operators can manage their building automation systems remotely, with the confidence that their data is encrypted and protected from potential cyberattacks," added Toohey.
In addition to ensuring high levels of protection, the tool maintains compatibility with different environments and technologies from multiple vendors, making it easy to deploy in various types of buildings. BTL certification supports RC-RemoteAccess' ability to integrate seamlessly with other systems and raise safety standards in facility automation.
