The brand led by its CEO, Salo Ponchner Geller, celebrates its 23 years with its employees, customers, suppliers and friends in a beautiful convivio at its headquarters in Athens, Costa Rica.
The company's history is rich in challenges and learning. His humble beginnings were in a two-car garage, in the area of san Jose cemeteries; at that time they were fixed or installed automotive airs, refrigerators, dehumidifiers and more. In 1997 the import of small quantities of residential air conditioning equipment and spare parts began and the growth of the company requires the construction of a larger warehouse in the San Sebastian area. In 1999 the automotive a/c workshop part was eliminated to concentrate on residential and commercial airs. In 2002 they brought in engineers from other countries, especially from Colombia to create the Major Projects division and be able to compete with well-established companies in the market.
"Since those years we have been betting on inverter technology and VRF equipment of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries brand of which we have installed thousands in the country and in the region. From the year 2010 we went from home again, this time to Athens, in a property of almost 2 hectares that allows us to concentrate in one place the engineering, the technical team, the administrative part, training rooms, distribution center, mechanical metal factory, painting chamber, etc. We have established strong business relationships with the four manufacturers of air conditioners and control systems, as well as the largest ventilation company in the world to be able to serve our customers with the best alternatives. We have also developed professional advisory services, design, budgets, financial services, efficiency studies in technology spare parts, installation and start-up, maintenance, etc.", said Salo.
Salo reveals that the company arrives in 2019 with a history of more than 27,000 projects installed with air conditioning, ventilation and control systems, hundreds of maintenance and after-sales service contracts, more than 1,000 people trained for the different facets of the business, a year-on-year growth of more than 20% and an execution capacity of more than 200 concurrent projects.
