The HVAC industry's forecasts for 2016 are very positive, according to a recent survey conducted at the AHR Expo. Since last 2015 there was already an optimistic trend, and in this survey it was highlighted that 86% of respondents expressed their confidence about their business in 2016, which indicates the strength of the industry.
However, unlike another survey conducted in 2015, in this case the area of modifications and renovations was considered as the one with the greatest opportunity for the industry, increasing 14 percentage points compared to the results of 2015.
Likewise, the attendees made it clear that their customers emphasize truthfulness, energy efficiency and maintenance. The result reflects a high demand within the HVAC/R industry for innovative new solutions.
This survey was conducted by the company Victaulic, a global producer of slotted mechanical couplings and pipe joining systems.
During this show, the company unveiled the world's first slotted pipe joining system for saturated steam and condensate pipe, which received the AHR Innovation Award at AHR Expo 2016, which recognizes products that provide safer, more efficient and more comfortable environments to HVAC/R professionals.
The solution is ideal for modifications and renovations of steam systems, which are common in many environments such as hospitals and schools. Joining steam pipe with grooved pipe joining systems allows for faster and easier installation than that made by using welding, threading and flange. Complete installation with this new Victaulic solution is up to five times faster than with other joining methods.
