Air Science introduces its PURAIR 5 Ductless smoke hood, designed to eliminate installation costs, the 24, 36 and 48 inch wide models can be placed on a sink or work table, the units exceed all international standards including OSHA and ASI.
Smoke hoods operate with low noise levels, and since they recirculate, they do not deplete air conditioning or heating in the atmosphere; they have a flow rate of 100 feet per minute and ensure the containment of gases and particles for operator protection.
The main filter can be chosen from 14 different types of carbon, including specialty media for vapors of organic compounds, solvents, acids, mercury and formaldehyde. HEPA filters for particulate filtration are also available.
It also includes an alarm for the operator when the airflow falls to an unacceptable level; the rear of the unit must be turned on to illuminate the work surface; Typical applications of Purair 5 include histology, weighing powder and pre-sampling work.
