The Spectronics OLK-400BEZ/E Leak Detection Kit includes everything needed to locate refrigerant leaks in medium and large air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems, including the high-pressure R-410A system. The exact source of each leak will be made known by its fluorescent glow.
The heart of this kit is its OPTI-LUX 400 leak detector flashlight, a powerful and rechargeable violet light LED flashlight that emits less visible light compared to standard inspection blue light lamps, making all AC&R leaks easier to locate. It has a power comparable to that of high-intensity lamps of 150 watts. It has an inspection range of 25 feet (7.6 m) or more.
The Kit also includes the BigEz ink injector, a 4 oz (118 ml) universal/POE multi-dose ink cartridge, an assembly hose with low-loss check valve, purge and 8 oz (237 ml) spray bottle of GLO-AWAY dye cleaner, three drip caps, an AC/DC charger and fluorescence enhancement glasses.
All components are stored in a sturdy carrying case. The dye cartridge treats up to 16 gallons (60.6 liters) of lubricant, 400 pounds (181 kg) of coolant or 160 tons of refrigeration.
