For easy control of energy use, the company Control4 launched an application that connects the electrical power outputs to a smartphone and an iPad, with which you can control the air conditioning or turn off the lights, even program them to turn on and off at a certain time.

With this application it is no longer necessary to leave the air conditioning on all the time so that the house is cool, you can simply turn on or program its ignition 10 minutes before arriving at home. The company Control4 ensures that with its application the use of light can be reduced between 10% and 30%, and air conditioning costs can be reduced between 20% and 40%.

"If your teens are home alone and drop the temperature to 16 degrees, your iPad or iPhone will alert you to this for you to correct," says Jim Gist, vice president of Control4. Anyone who has the control module at home and an iPad will be able to download the iTunes app for free, though you need to pay a $99 lifetime license. According to specialists, this fee is minimal compared to the energy savings that will be generated.
