International. Thermo King announced the appointment of Alessandra Salles as the new general manager for Latin America, in a strategic move that marks the beginning of a new stage for the regional operation after the retirement of Iván Collazo.
The appointment reinforces the company's commitment to the continuity and strengthening of its presence in Latin American markets, in a context of growing demand for temperature control solutions for transport and the cold chain.
With more than 25 years of experience in the refrigeration, HVAC and climate solutions for transportation sectors – 19 of them within the organization – Salles assumes regional leadership after serving since 2021 as leader of Channel and Price Excellence for Latin America. In that role, he played a key role in strengthening organizational performance through strategies focused on collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous development of individuals and teams.
Throughout his career in the company, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including leadership in Dealer Development for Brazil and South America, as well as functions in the CRM and Aftermarket LATAM areas. Previously, he was part of Honeywell Brazil, where he was HVAC Project and Distribution Manager.
Recognized for her collaborative leadership and her focus on building high-performance teams, the executive assumes the position with the aim of driving sustainable business growth and consolidating organizational culture in the region.
"Assuming the leadership of Thermo King in Latin America is a great honor and a responsibility that I embrace with great enthusiasm. The region has enormous growth potential, driven by the strength of our people, collaboration with the dealer network, and continued commitment to operational excellence and innovation. We will continue to work collaboratively, with a focus on developing teams and delivering solutions that generate sustainable value for our customers and partners," says Alessandra Salles.
