Embraco expands its portfolio with a new range of scroll compressors for HVAC&R

Mexico. Embraco takes a decisive step in its global strategy by expanding its portfolio with a new range of scroll compressors, strengthening its presence in the heating and air conditioning segments.

This development marks the company's strategic entry into the heating and air conditioning segments, following the acquisition of scroll manufacturer Xecom by Nidec Global Appliance.

With this innovation, the brand significantly expands its refrigeration capabilities and strengthens its presence in the HVAC&R market. The new line covers applications ranging from cold rooms to central residential air conditioning systems, ranging from 1.2 HP to 35 HP.

"The introduction of our new range of scroll compressors is a big step for Embraco, and North America is an important market in our growth strategy for this product line. The goal is to highlight that Embraco is now a brand for the entire HVAC&R market, with the same focus on innovation, reliability and service excellence that we are known for in the refrigeration sector," says Alessandro Pedrazzi, Director of Marketing, Engineering and Sales for Nidec Scroll Technology at Nidec Global Appliance.

Along with this novelty, Embraco continues to strengthen its role as a comprehensive provider of solutions for the commercial cold chain. Recent developments include:

  • VLT compressors: compact variable speed model (123 mm high), with bivolt and bi-frequency inverter, offering high energy efficiency, low noise level and high cooling capacity.
  • Embraco Sync it All: portfolio that integrates software, controller, fan and variable speed compressors, optimizing system performance and reducing energy consumption.
  • EMR compressors: Robust and compact aftermarket solution, designed as a standard replacement for several fixed-speed models.
  • EDP condensing units: with a height of 26 cm, removable evaporative drain tray and hot loop system, designed for reach-in and undercounter applications in food services.

"We reinforce our position as a comprehensive provider of solutions for all the needs of the commercial and residential cold chain – manufacturers, distribution and aftermarket – highlighting our combination of reliability and track record with Embraco's innovative spirit," says Michel Moreira, Sales Director for Commercial Refrigeration in the NAR region of Nidec Global Appliance.

The company also underlines its manufacturing presence in the country. From its plant in Apodaca, Nidec Global Appliance produces compressors, electronically switched fans and EDP condensing units.

"Local production is a key factor for Embraco, as it reduces delivery times and increases the ability to respond to the needs of the aftermarket and manufacturers," adds Moreira.
