United States. Copeland announced the release of its first Global Impact Report, revealing its progress and commitments in environmental sustainability, social progress and operational excellence.
After becoming an independent company in 2023, Copeland marks a milestone in its history with this report by setting clear targets: to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55% and Scope 3 emissions by 32.5% by 2033, as well as driving the adoption of natural and low-GWP refrigerants.
Ross B. Shuster, Chief Executive Officer of Copeland, said, "Our inaugural Global Impact Report represents an important moment in Copeland's history as a newly independent company with more than 100 years of legacy. Sustainability is embedded in our vision, mission and values, as we aim to contribute to helping solve global challenges, including decarbonisation, energy efficiency and resource waste. This report demonstrates how our technologies, innovations and our more than 18,000 colleagues around the world are working together to create sustainable solutions that improve lives and protect the planet, today and for future generations."
The document also underlines the company's role in the energy transition, ensuring sustainable cold chains for food and medicines, and in creating a corporate culture focused on well-being, inclusion and community impact.
"Through the collective efforts of our global team and our continued collaboration with partners and communities, we are driving significant impact while delivering value to our customers and investors," added Shuster.
