Canada. Armstrong Fluid Technology announced the release of two new enhancements to its Envelope platform, a digital solution designed to optimize fluid flow in HVAC systems through performance mapping, advanced data analytics, and lifecycle services.
Among the innovations is the new Wrench app, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, which simplifies field service and management of Armstrong equipment. This app offers mobile tools for installation, configuration, commissioning, operation, and location of assets, eliminating the need for manual data entry and the use of multiple devices.
Integration with Envelope Core enables real-time data flow, recording and analyzing equipment information to detect problems early and provide actionable recommendations. In addition, enhancements to the Design Envelope Pumps Controller (DEPC) make it easier to integrate with the Envelope platform.
Another new feature is Envelope Advisor, a tool that takes advantage of existing data from building systems to perform performance audits, detect and automatically diagnose failures and provide concrete actions for improvement. This functionality complies with ASHRAE Guide 36 and NABERS reports, international standards for efficiency and sustainability.
"With these next-generation tools, we are redefining what is possible to maximize Smart Building operations," said Carlos Chamorro, Offering Manager, Platform & Ecosystem at Armstrong Fluid Technology. "From selection and commissioning to optimization and analysis, the Envelope platform enables owners and operators to take the sustainability of their assets to a new level with flexible IoT connectivity, embedded intelligence and end-to-end security."
Enhancements include an extended thermal range up to 70°C, simplified commissioning and monitoring via the Wrench app, optimization using digital twins, advanced analytics with real-time data sharing, and reduced downtime thanks to digital lifecycle support.
All the services of the Envelope platform are delivered under a Zero Trust cybersecurity architecture, with MQTT protocol, which ensures protected connectivity and compatible with IT systems, without the need for VPN connections or opening of incoming ports in firewalls.
"These enhancements reaffirm Armstrong Fluid Technology's commitment to helping smart building and facility management professionals maximize efficiency, simplify operation, and future-proof HVAC systems with smart equipment and ESG-aligned services," added Chamorro.
