Canada. In response to the growing demands of the fire protection industry, Armstrong Fluid Technology announced the expansion of its Vertical-In-Line pump line with the addition of the new 5x4x10PF model, capable of reaching a flow rate of 750 gallons per minute (gpm).
This new equipment incorporates Design Envelope technology, which provides connected intelligence, performance monitoring and automated alerts. These functions seek to optimize maintenance, reduce operating costs and increase occupant safety. Thanks to its progressive start control, pressure peaks are eliminated, the integrity of the pipes is protected, the water supply is guaranteed and the risk of water hammer is minimized.
Among the additional benefits offered by this model are:
- Reduced need for field work for electrical wiring
- Reduction in the use of pressure reducing valves (PRVs) and drain lines
- Elimination of safety risks associated with supply pressure
- Significant design, installation and operation savings for engineers, contractors and owners
"This new size of Vertical-In-Line fire pump offers excellent performance in a key flow and pressure range. And with the addition of Design Envelope technology, customers can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with performance tracking throughout the pump lifecycle," said Michael DeMille, Global Product Manager for Fire Pumps.
With this addition, Armstrong strengthens its position in the market as a provider of innovative and efficient fire protection solutions, adapted to the current requirements of commercial and industrial buildings.
