The Association of Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers (AFEC) held its 2025 General Assembly in Girona in June, with the participation of 130 representatives of the sector. The event, which is consolidated as a key space for the analysis and strategy of the HVAC field in Spain, was marked by the renewal of the Board of Directors and the approval of a new membership structure.
The new Board, made up of a more diverse and representative team, takes on the challenge of leading the association in a context of energy, digital and regulatory transformation. In the ordinary session, President Francisco Perucho and Director Marta San Román presented the AFEC 2024 Report, highlighting the promotion of technologies such as heat pumps, ventilation, indoor air quality and energy rehabilitation, as well as the institutional strengthening of the association.
The 2024 annual accounts and the budget for 2025 were also approved, consolidating sound financial management. In an Extraordinary Assembly, the members supported the update of the statutes, which redefines the type of members to better reflect the reality of the sector and reinforce the representativeness of AFEC, keeping manufacturers at the core of the organization.
The meeting also included social and cultural activities to promote networking, in an environment that combined tradition and vision of the future.
With these advances, AFEC reaffirms its role as a strategic benchmark in the sector and its commitment to a more efficient and sustainable energy future.
