Chile. The Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning A.G. announced the appointment of Marcelo Contreras Barrera as its new president for the period 2025-2026.
Contreras is manager and founding partner of MIMEC SpA, and has more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC sector, with a special focus on air conditioning, heating, automation and BMS systems. For more than 16 years he has led his own company, consolidating himself as a benchmark in the national industry.
His link with the Chamber has been constant, having held positions as treasurer and actively participating in the updating of the statutes of the guild. In addition, she was part of the organizing team of Expo Frío Calor Chile 2024, a fair that positioned itself as a key space for international networking.
During his tenure, Contreras will seek to promote the integration of new companies and technologies, especially in the areas of refrigeration, renewable energies and automation, with a collaborative approach and sustainable growth for the sector.
