Colombia. The city of Medellín was the first stop of the Pettinaroli Roadshow Colombia, a tour carried out by the Italian manufacturer to present its novelties for energy measurement in HVAC systems.
During the event, Pettinaroli brought together a group of local engineers who were able to learn first-hand about the Energy Saver and Energy Meter innovations. These two solutions can be installed separately or together, forming a hydronic kit for metering and billing in water installations for HVAC systems.
"Energy Saver is a complete solution that we are offering in the Colombian and Latin American markets, about which we can highlight three fundamental points: one is flexibility, not only with respect to communication but also with respect to installation. The second aspect is the design and integrability of this mechanical solution with the power solution. And thirdly, the breadth of the range that we can cover, already speaking in diameters and water flows, for the different areas of buildings, shopping centers, hospitals and other spaces that need to have a count of energy consumption and an efficient control of said consumption," said Pettinaroli's Business Development Manager. The executive emphasized that these solutions allow measurements to be carried out in large areas, but also in spaces with smaller flows.
In this regard, Fernando Cabrera, consultant at the firm FSK Ingeniería, said: "Fratelli Pettinaroli's offers are
always focused on reducing installation times, initially, and reducing the carbon footprint as such in the projects. By manufacturing smaller, more compact products, installation is much simpler and shorter. Now, the topic of energy accounting is addressed a lot in thermal district projects. Thus, we have the possibility of using this type of product for the development of thermal districts, as well as in projects for shopping centers, hospitals and the like.
Another of the guests was the HVAC Design Engineer, Óscar Charris, who is linked to the company IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture. In his opinion, "Energy Saver becomes a simpler solution, which could be contradictory, considering that sometimes we seem to be looking for more complexity in designs. However, it also becomes a wonderful choice for applications such as hotel rooms and offices."
In the coming months, the Pettinaroli Roadshow Colombia will reach other cities in the country such as Bogotá, Cali and Barranquilla.
