Epta reaches 100 transcritical CO2 projects in Latin America

Epta

Latin America. Epta Latam announced the celebration after reaching the 100th installation of a transcritical CO₂ system in our region, an achievement that began in 2014 with the store of a chain in the large distribution sector in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"We are proud of this achievement, which represents a milestone in the years that Epta Latam has been dedicated to a more sustainable future in a region where the transition to natural and energy-efficient refrigeration is possible thanks to the initiative of each Chain", says Daniele Tolotti, Commercial Director of Epta Latam, who concludes: "We will continue to work tirelessly to reduce the environmental impact of the retailers that accompany us in this evolution and so that these innovative technologies become the standard for making the entire sector more sustainable".

During his presentation at the Atmo Latam event that took place in Mexico last November, Tolotti confirmed that, although most of the projects are located in Argentina and Ecuador, with 42 and 39 installations respectively, Epta also has systems in Colombia (6), Panama (5), Chile (4), Venezuela (3), Mexico (1) and Peru (1). as well as on the Caribbean island of Martinique (1).

Epta highlighted some of its efficient technologies
In the last decade, the Epta Group has contributed to the ecological transition of Distributors with the development of cutting-edge environmentally friendly technologies such as ETE, FTE and XTE.

This revolution was born in 2017 with the introduction of FTE (Full Transcritical Efficiency), capable of increasing energy efficiency, in medium and low temperature applications, by 10% compared to standard transcritical systems. In 2020, the technology offering evolved further with the ETE (Extreme Temperature Efficiency) guarantee of increased reliability in hot climates, with no temperature limits.

Finally, in 2023, the innovative, patent-pending XTE (Extra Transcritical Efficiency) was launched, equipped with a PX G1300 energy recovery device signed Energy Recovery that further increases the benefits obtained with ETE not only in extreme conditions, but also in temperate and cold climates, with temperatures between 20°C and 40™°C. A field-proven technology that enables stores to achieve efficiency of more than 15% at 25°C and 25% at more than 35°C.
