Amanda Diaz highlighted the iGate® 2 Smart Thermostat

iGate® 2 smart thermostat

United States. ClimateMaster, an American company dedicated to the domestic energy market, geothermal heating and cooling, has shared, with its engineering director, Amanda Diaz, details about the iGate® 2 smart thermostat.

As part of the "Ask the Experts" series, Climate Control Group, Inc., an entity of which ClimateMaster is a part, has opened a space for industry-leading experts to answer questions about technology, discuss upcoming trends in the HVAC industry and provide solutions that stay ahead of emerging issues. In this sense, Amanda Diaz explained the details of the iGate® 2 smart thermostat.

It is worth noting that Amanda, in addition to being ClimateMaster's Director of Engineering, has years of experience in the HVAC engineering industry.

iGate® 2 Remote Diagnostics. Service Simplified
According to the expert, in recent years, smart thermostats have become a common sight in buildings and homes, allowing businesses and residents to conserve energy, increase energy efficiency and save money every year.

And by now, most of us know how useful and transformative these thermostats can be in our daily lives, but what next? How can we take advantage of and optimize the energy efficiency provided by smart thermostats?

The latest version of this technology from ClimateMaster, the iGate 2 Smart Thermostat, puts the power of optimization in the palm of the user's hand by providing a real-time view of system data and schematics for performance, required maintenance and the replacement.

It is the first of its kind to focus on creating a robust service ecosystem around the thermostat by allowing service contractors to access the same real-time data as device owners. This gives them the ability to provide remote commissioning and diagnostics, and make live adjustments to system operating parameters via the mobile app and web portal.

Ultimately, being able to access and monitor this data helps ensure that the system is always running at peak performance for its users.

When equipment is operating outside of its parameters, the iGate 2 immediately sends a notification to owners and technicians describing what the problem is. These notifications are detailed and written in clear language, allowing technicians to quickly understand what issue needs to be addressed and repair a system without being on site.

Thermostat owners receive the same warnings or fault alerts as their contractor, creating a more seamless overall experience. Because all operational data is shared with our cloud technology, owners can be sure their system will perform optimally. If a problem occurs, your contractor will be alerted immediately, reducing the amount of time equipment is down.

As we look to the future of climate-controlled spaces, providing end-to-end solutions for the industry's evolving technology landscape provides us with new opportunities to move our industry forward.
