Colombia. During the celebration of the Colombiamar fair, in Cartagena de Indias, FRIZONIA signed a contract with COTECMAR to take care of the design and supply of HVAC equipment for the future POC (Colombian Oceanic Patrol Boat) type vessel that will be built for the Colombian Navy (ARC).
The scope of the contract, which was signed on March 9, 2023, includes the design and supply of HVAC accommodation equipment, ventilation of machine spaces, as well as refrigeration equipment and cold room enclosures. This new project adds to the extensive list of collaborations that FRIZONIA maintains with COTECMAR (Corporation of Science and Technology for the Development of the Maritime and River Naval Industry) and the ARC, including the recently delivered PAF-L Light River Support Patrol Boat.
The agreement between the Colombian Navy and COTECMAR for the construction of this vessel was ratified on November 22, 2022 and is part of the Naval Development Plan 2042, established by both entities since 2007.
It highlights that, during the celebration of the contract, FRIZONIA also celebrated its 30th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of its subsidiary in Latin America, FRIZONIA Colombia.
From this new contract, the company thanked the trust placed and congratulated the country for the development of initiatives that strengthen its position as a benchmark in shipbuilding at an international level.
