FabricAir turned 50 and gave us a few words, within the framework of the AHR Expo 2023

FabricAir interview

United States. On the second day of the AHR Expo, we had the opportunity to have an interview with Brian Refsgaard, CEO of FabricAir, who shared his satisfaction with the 50th anniversary that his company is celebrating, as well as considerations of the importance of the Latin America for the brand.

ACR. What happens when you think about how long FabricAir has been in this industry?
Brian: 50 years is a long time, where we invented the FabricAir concept, since then the industry has grown. We are still the biggest player in the world. With presence in more than 15 countries and it has been great. It is a concept that is growing. It's a growing industry and every day we turn more and more into manufactured solutions.

ACR. Are there any celebration plans in these 50 years?
Brian: Yes, we have several plans for the year. The official date is in September, so in that month we will have local celebrations all over the world. But we'll also look at meeting people at these different shows to celebrate with our customers.

ACR. What is the importance of this kind of shows for FabricAir?
Brian: Almost every year we have introduced new variants, new solutions within the industry. In the last two or three years, Sealing Diffusors has become a new area where we are integrating air diffusion and distribution textile solutions, rather than just using conventional metal. With FabricAir it doesn't matter which solution you select, it's always about offering a very fast installation time.

Those are the two key points to understand when selecting a FabricAir solution. And architects typically like our products, because with them you have a lot of design flexibility, which is difficult in conventional systems, where you have to stick with traditional constraints.

ACR. For Latin America, perhaps this is still a new technology. So how do they manage to offer and integrate these types of products in Latin America?
Brian: In Latin America we opened a subsidiary in Mexico two years ago and now we open it throughout all of Latin America. Originally, our solutions were developed for the food industry, and this industry is now one of our key focus areas in the region, because there is a large food industry in Latin America, and they have exactly the same problems as in the rest of the world. world.

That is why our broadcast system solutions are very useful. Also in supermarkets, for example, which is an area in which we believe we are going to grow drastically in the coming years.
