Thermo King presented its new solar panel solutions

ThermoKing paneles solaresLatin America. Thermo King unveiled its portfolio of sustainable solar panels, which feature 35W, 45W and the most powerful 110W models to offer a sustainable temperature management solution for refrigeration equipment, while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Even on cloudy and low-light days, Thermo King's new ThermoLite solar panels collect energy to keep the refrigerator battery charged. This eliminates the need to use the refrigeration equipment engine to charge the battery and reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions to the environment by 23%, providing a guaranteed return on investment in up to 3 years.

"The time has come for fleet owners to invest in innovative, reliable and sustainable renewable technologies," said José Carlos Gómez, Thermo King's business director in Mexico. "With these new, more powerful solar panels, we provide our customers with a sustainable energy source on the road that increases their operational efficiency while reducing their environmental footprint and helping them achieve their sustainability and savings goals."

ThermoLite solar panels ensure that the battery of the refrigeration unit remains continuously charged. This helps to achieve continuous operation of the electrical systems of the refrigeration equipment. In addition, in combination with telematics systems, it allows transport companies to be in constant contact with their trailers. Fleet managers can access critical unit data at any time, off-road or securely during the journey, to ensure that cargo is protected at all times and that the unit is operating at maximum efficiency.

ThermoLite solar panels provide a sustainable energy management solution that will increase the life of your battery while reducing emissions and fuel consumption. These rugged, weatherproof panels collect solar energy, even in low light, to keep your battery in top condition. Your units will no longer have to be commissioned for the sole purpose of charging the battery, which will allow you to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and help you meet your sustainability goals.

Applications
ThermoLite™ solar panels are especially suitable for these 3 applications:
1) On the roof of the tractor unit (24V): Extends the life and battery utilization of the tractor unit and saves on replacements such as battery, breakdowns and fuel consumption (110W-220W).
2) For Thermo King refrigeration equipment (12V): Keeps it connected. Extends battery life and saves on fuel and CO2 (up to 110W).
3) For the charging platform (12V or 24V): Keeps the charging platform running and the batteries charged (up to 440W).
