Italsan Americas technologies contributed to the LEED certification of the ITSE building in Panama

ItalsanPanama. Italsan, through its Italsan Americas headquarters in Panama, has shared the success story of the work already completed, ITSE Educational Complex (Specialized Higher Technical Institute), an emblematic building for being a clear example of the commitment of the Panamanian construction sector for sustainability.

This emblematic and environmentally friendly building holds the prestigious LEED Certification in the Silver category.

Italsan's contribution has been the incorporation of its sustainable products in the HVAC and rainwater collection systems of the Educational Building, providing points to achieve this prestigious certification.

Following the current international recommendations to provide environmental information on products to the final consumer, Italsan Américas makes available to its customers all the documentation related to the life cycle of its products.

Its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a voluntary declaration that allows environmentally quantifying the analysis of the life cycle of products in accordance with the EN ISO 14025 standard (Type III Ecolabel), together with the goodness of the raw materials used by the brand in its ranges, confer sustainability, energy efficiency and social benefit in the facilities.

"Italsan Americas has been supporting at all times the execution of the works of the ITSE Complex, providing its technical advice from the choice of the most appropriate products to the training on site," says the company's statement.

PP-R NIRON Clima SDR11 pipes have been supplied for installation by pre-insulated system for the conduction of ice water as the most suitable solution for an installation that presented adverse conditions due to the characteristics of the terrain, unstable and stony.

The rainwater collection system has been strengthened with the technical monitoring of the route by Italsan Americas, thus facilitating its correct installation.

One of the key elements in the fulfillment of the deadlines for completion of the work has been to provide the work teams with professional machinery and technical assistance on site, being present at the start of work and commissioning of the facilities.
