Latin America. Chemours launched its new product, the Opteon SF80, a cleaning agent for air conditioning and refrigeration systems designed to meet the requirements of the industry's maintenance procedure.
This product is a mixture containing HFO that replaces 141b (whose use will be significantly restricted by 2020), providing greater safety without harming the environment. This solution has a very low global warming potential and meets the regulatory guidelines of the Montreal Protocol. It features better cleaning performance, fast drying with an excellent boiling point and is stable during application. It can be used to remove grease, oil and common contaminants during equipment maintenance.
The product was launched at the last Febrava fair, where it received the seal "Abrava Highlight Innovation Febrava – 2019".
In addition to the launch of the SF80, Chemours also presented in Brazil other technologies such as the Opteon XP40 aimed at the commercial refrigeration market. This product is an alternative to R22 or R404A for retrofit systems or for new equipment. It is currently implemented in more than 60 supermarkets in Brazil.
