Colombia. On June 27 and 28, the Industry 4.0 and Sustainability Forum will be held in the Ruta N Auditorium in the city of Medellín.
This forum is led by Low Carbon City and Ruta N, with the support of Microsoft, Choucair Testing, Selina Medellín, Proantioquia, INCYCLO and Puntos Verdes Lito, is a meeting and learning space to reflect deeply on the challenges, opportunities and solutions available for citizens, companies, social sector and government to appropriate technologies such as Blockchain, artificial intelligence, automation, big data, augmented reality, cryptocurrencies or the internet of things, for a fairer and more sustainable development.
The Forum will bring together more than 25 national and international speakers, such as Michael Witbrock, founder of AI for Good, who generates artificial intelligence solutions for humanity's greatest challenges in terms of sustainability; Verónica García-Heller, founder of BitLumens, a platform that through blockchain brings renewable energy to disconnected places; Jesús Cepeda, founder of OS. City, which promotes sustainable cities and reliable governments with the help of data technologies; Sabrina Díaz Rato, president of the PuntoGov Foundation, responsible for managing digital and technological development in the states and citizens; and Maria Clara Choucair, Founder of Choucair Testing, a pioneer in the development of digital technology in Colombia.
In addition to disruptive experiences for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Agenda of the Forum will address, among other issues, digital talent, the role of women in the 4IR, the closing of urban-rural gaps and the democratization of technologies. "We want the information to reach many people so that no one is left behind and also contribute to the construction of the agenda of the Center for the 4th Revolution in Medellín, which can be nurtured with the participation of various actors from the country and Latin America," said Juliana Gutiérrez, director of Low Carbon City.
The entrance to the event has a symbolic cost, with prior registration and is made with the donation of some electronic waste.
