United States. AAON Inc. announced that its water source heat pump products are now performance certified with the Institute of Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (AHRI) Water Source Heat Pump Certification Program.
The performance of the water source heat pump is classified according to the ANSI / AHRI / ASHRAE / ISO 13256 standard. The company's certified product listings are available in AHRI's Certified Product Performance Directory.
AAON products in the AHRI certification program include AAON RN and RQ series water source heat pump roof units (pictured), M2 series water source modular standalone units, SB series and WH/WV series vertical water source heat pump standalone units, Small packaged horizontal/vertical water source heat pump units. The AAON water source heat pump roof units are the first of their kind to be tested under this program.
While AHRI's listing program covers all water source heat pump products up to 135 MBH (11 tons) cooling capacity, AAON water source heat pump products are available up to 230 tons. AAON water source heat pump roof units are available from 2 to 230 tons, customizable for almost any application with factory-installed energy-saving options such as variable capacity compressors and variable speed fans.
AAON water source heat pump indoor autonomous units are available from 3 to 70 tons with similar customization, including modulation of dehumidification by hot gas overheating and energy recovery wheel configurations. Premium AAON packaged small, vertical water source heat pump units are available from 1/2 to 5 tons in ready-to-replace configurations ready to ship to customers.
