Johnson Controls Held Sales Convention for Latin American Distributors

International. More than 140 people from across the Latin American region gathered on November 8-11 in Miami, Florida to celebrate the 2017 Johnson Controls Distributor Sales Convention.

There, Cesar Serrano, Vice President and General Manager of Products for Latin America, opened the event by welcoming attendees along with Jeff Williams, Vice President and President of Building Solutions for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

During the three days the event was attended by experts in the field who provided macroeconomic perspectives, industry trends and growth expectations for the region; Experts specialized in the HVAC and Controls segment also participated, providing key information regarding industry trends in terms of connectivity, environmentally friendly refrigerants and new technologies that improve equipment performance and optimize its operation.

In addition, more than eight workshops were developed by specialists in products such as Packages and Splits, VRF York, Ice Water Handlers, Ventilation and Air Extraction Systems, Control Devices and Verasys Plug & Play System. They enabled an exhibition space in which attendees could meet with some of the air conditioning products and controls provided by the York, Facillity Explorer, Verasys, Penn and Johnson Controls brands.

The presentation  of the new VRF GEN II System of York was also made, which has applications for commercial and residential projects, offering:

  • Better performance in energy consumption with savings of up to 26%;
  • Design flexibility, with maximum cooling capacity up to 96HP in a single system and up to 24HP in a single cabinet;
  • Improved invert compressor, with "Full Inverter" cabinets with 10 times greater modulation capacity, allowing to install greater length of pipe of the system;
  • New VRF Smart Getway connectivity, which allows a faster and easier integration to the system.

On the other hand, the new Verasys control system was presented to manage intelligent buildings, through configurable controls, creating the first plug-and-play experience that integrates HVAC equipment and control devices. Among its main benefits and features, the Verasys control system provides:

  • Simple and integrated control system, taking advantage of the equipment technology of any manufacturer or through the Smart Equipment technology incorporated in Johnson Controls equipment, which provides real-time performance data and does not require programming tools to perform its installation;
  • In addition to occasional fault detection and diagnosis, the Verasys system offers immediate, email or text alarm notifications and easy-to-use graphics that simplify access to critical facility information to help minimize the risk of unplanned shutdowns and costly repairs;
  • The Verasys system connects to cloud-based data streams of intelligent controls from different HVAC equipment and control devices. Data can be accessed anywhere and anytime from any mobile device.

The event closed with a motivational talk given by Marcos Souza which led to the reflection of each of the attendees on how to change beliefs, habits and behaviors to become a successful person.
