Colombia. Carvel, an engineering company specialized in air conditioning, mechanical ventilation and air filtration equipment, celebrated its 60th anniversary during the last ExpoAcaire.
Carvel, which is part of a business group made up of two other companies such as Tecam and TRS, has carried out outstanding projects in Colombia. Daniel Delgado, director of Carvel, commented on the anniversary that "for us it is a pride and a great satisfaction to be able to reach 60 years in the air conditioning market in Colombia, representing a brand as important as Carrier, and having an important market share in the area of comfort and process".
Daniel highlighted the importance of participating in reference projects: "We have developed very important projects during the 60 years: the first absorption chiller that was installed in Colombia was sold by us 40 years ago for Colgate Palmolive and was operating until about 4 or 5 years ago. Subsequently we have done many works oriented towards processes, laboratories, pharma, food, paper mills, plastics, always using high-tech equipment, high energy efficiency".
The director of Carvel also mentioned two important projects that have been developed in recent times: "We recently finished the execution of the expansion project of the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón airport in Cali, we were invited to participate in the tender of the work and we won its execution, something with which all airport users have been favored. We also completed the entire engineering project of Zona América, which are 18 LEED Gold Certified technology buildings, we did all the engineering of the project and we were favored with the award of the business for the installation of the first building, so we are making homeland, company and generating to the final customer a solution that requires".
