Thermo King Emphasizes Regulation of Refrigerated Transportation Segments

Brazil. Thermo King published a text on the importance of respecting the best practices of the cold chain, as well as respect for the applicable regulations and increasing control at all points of the cold chain, with special attention to transport.

The transport of food requires a lot of care and attention, since as a rule they need correct storage and a specific temperature, such as meats, dairy products and frozen products. Any temperature differences during the tour can result in changes in color, texture, taste and loss of load quality, sometimes making food inappropriate for consumption. In this way, the refrigeration equipment is not adequate, the consequences are serious, since the reduction of the shelf time of these products or even their disablement can occur, causing damage to the transporter, distributor and the consumer.

In addition, more than ever, the concern for food safety is increasingly incorporated into the daily lives of Brazilian consumers. The modern consumer demands that the products to be consumed have been subjected to rigorous processes in accordance with hygiene and safety standards, from their production to their final delivery.

"The ability to control maximum and minimum temperature makes the difference between companies that offer quality and those that simply rely on external factors," said Dario Ferreira, CEO of Thermo King. "As Brazil is a country in which many times we have the four seasons of the year in a single day and the temperature also changes from one region to another, the correct application of refrigeration equipment, compliance with regulations and consequent control at all points of the cold chain guarantee the quality of the products at the final tip of consumption and protect the operators of the chain avoiding losses," he explains.

Ideally, regulation and consequent control should be effective throughout the cold chain. The refrigerated transport system needs to be monitored so as not to influence external factors such as humidity, solar radiation, weather, road logistics infrastructure or levels of environmental pollution. Proper operation of the refrigeration unit ensures the integrity of the product at the time of delivery to the destination.

"The differential of Thermo King products is the possibility of tracking and tracking the temperatures of the loads in real time, facilitating control," says Cláudio Biscola, Sales Manager of Thermo King in Brazil. The equipment's sensors indicate any variation in the operation of the cooling system, making maintenance intervention faster and more accurate. The I-box and blue box devices coupled to Thermo King equipment allow the conveyor to be connected and receive information online, helping to preserve the integrity of the load, which will be transported at the ideal temperature along any route, guaranteeing the quality of the product from end to end, "explains Biscola.
