International. Ingersoll Rand announced the completion of the acquisition of Thermocold Costruzioni S.r.l. The acquisition strengthens the portfolio of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products for buildings in Europe, with opportunities to extend Thermocold technologies to other locations around the world.
Thermocold operates in the Region of Bari, Italy, and has an extensive European distribution network.
"This acquisition is a milestone in providing innovative solutions for building owners to achieve operational and sustainability goals," said Dave Regnery, president of Ingersoll Rand's Strategic Business Unit in North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Middle East Africa. "We are jointly innovating and serving customers and this is the next step in our relationship. Today is an exciting day for collaborators and distribution partners, we look forward to exploring the growth potential we have together."
One of Thermocold's core solutions includes the innovative HVAC multi-pipe system for high efficiency, simultaneous heating and cooling. This system reuses rejected energy or uses renewable energy to heat the facility, offering a more sustainable solution, which reduces investment costs, space use and operating expenses. The multi-pipe system further contributes to decreasing the environmental impact due to the significantly lower energy use.
