International. Ingersoll Rand was named to Corporate Responsibility (CR) magazine's 100 Best Corporate Citizens list for the fourth consecutive year.
The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list documents 260 points based on public data and performance measures – collected from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, philanthropic and community support.
"Ingersoll Rand is committed to improving all aspects of sustainability – business, social and environmental – with the goal of creating long-term value for our people, our customers and the communities in which we live and work," said Michael W. Lamach, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ingersoll Rand. "To be part of the list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for the fourth consecutive year is a great honor, and we are pleased to be recognized again for transparent and accountable business practices."
The list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens was first published in 1999 in Ethics Business magazine, and has been coordinated by CR Magazine since 2007. To create the list, all the companies in the Russell 1000 – the largest Russell 3000 stock index of public companies in the US – are ranked according to these 260 points. The methodology for generating the list is governed by the Leadership Council of Qualifications and Rankings of the Corporate Responsibility Association (CRA).
Ingersoll Rand made a Climate Commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its products and operations by 2030.
