Brazil. The increase in the purchasing power of consumers and the growth of companies have had a positive impact on Brazilian refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation companies, with increases of 20% in sales compared to 2009, according to data from the Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation of Southern Brazil -ASBRAV in Portuguese-.According to the Association, the most outstanding event of 2010 was the seventh edition of the Mercofrio congress that was held in October, with good attendance from the public and good results for exhibitors. There was also a 15% increase in the number of members during the year, said Sergio Helfensteller, president of ASBRAV.
In turn, the vice president of the Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating -ABRAVA-, Wadi Tadeo Neaime, explained that the main concern now is the lack of trained professionals in the market, since "we can not stay stuck in growth due to the lack of qualified labor. We are mobilizing all areas to educate and train," he concluded.
