The AHRI approved the publication of the Q-2010 guide "Recovery of content and adequate recycling of refrigerant cylinders", which contains guidelines for the correct treatment of these cylinders at the end of their useful life.This guidance applies to all refillable and non-refillable refrigerant fluorocarbon cylinders with water capacity greater than two pounds, recognized by the U.S. Department of Transportation. U.S. (DOT) to transport refrigerant chemicals within this country.
