RefriAméricas gives first brushstrokes to its academic program 2013

altColombia. In order to ensure success for its tenth version in 2013, RefriAméricas is already starting work to get its academic program on track in accordance with the needs and requirements of the industrial and commercial refrigeration industry today.

For this reason, the Academic Committee of the tenth edition of RefriAméricas, the Congress that seeks to train professionals in the refrigeration sector in the Latin American region, is already prepared. The Academic Committee will have the mission of analyzing the topics proposed by the organization of RefriAméricas, discussing them and, if necessary, proposing themes, activities or approaches accordingly and, finally, endorsing the final programming proposal. For this work, the call for a select group of industry professionals was advanced, who will give the hand to RefriAméricas in the task of having a valuable training proposal for 2013. For next year we will add the knowledge, experience and requirements of four specific groups: professional associations, manufacturers, integrators and the refrigeration professionals themselves. That is why recognized actors in the sector have already joined the Committee, such as Sandra Marieta Rojas, commercial manager and promotional media manager of Klima Zone; Gerardo Martínez, sales director for Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela of the Bitzer company. The invitation has also been extended to important associations in the sector, such as the Argentine Cold Association, AAFRÍO, and the Panamanian Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, APAYRE. Likewise, the call was extended to professionals in the sector such as the Venezuelan Víctor Terán, who is the director of the Corporación Frío-Térmica S.A., and in turn is an installer, designer and is in charge of advising on the commercial refrigeration system; and Juan Felipe Domínguez, head of maintenance at the Colombian poultry company Friko S.A.S. "We are aware that a little more than a month has passed between the realization of the ninth edition of RefriAméricas, and the formation of the Academic Committee, but we wanted it to be in this way to have enough time to prepare a well-thought-out program, and well focused, because we want to offer content of quality, depth and relevance to our attendees, "- commented Santiago Jaramillo, academic coordinator of the event.
