The new CTM Multi Ejector solution optimizes the efficiency of CO₂ refrigeration systems, extending their competitiveness even in hot climates.
The CTM Multi Ejector solution takes CO₂ refrigeration (R744) to a new standard of efficiency. Developed by Danfoss, this technology integrates the CTM multiple ejector with the AK-PC 782A/B controller to optimize the performance of transcritical systems.
Thanks to its design, the solution significantly improves the Coefficient of Performance (COP), allowing CO₂ systems to compete more directly with traditional HFCs, even in high-temperature environments. It operates at a maximum pressure of 2030 psig (140 bar) and over a wide thermal range of -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F). The CTM 6 is capable of handling a mass flow of up to 2,875 kg/hr (6,338 lb/hr).
Manufactured with an aluminum alloy body, brass ejectors, and stainless steel connections, the system is designed for long-term durability and performance. In addition, by eliminating the so-called "CO₂ equator", it contributes to reducing energy consumption and increasing the viability of CO₂ in hot climates.
With this proposal, the company reinforces the competitiveness of refrigeration with natural refrigerants, offering a sustainable and cost-effective alternative without sacrificing reliability or efficiency, a key aspect for companies seeking to advance their environmental and operational performance goals.
