With an energy saving of up to 70% compared to the previous model, the EBM-Papst iQ engine can be used in the development of new products such as in the change of existing motor fans in cooling units, achieving greater efficiency and less heating than other standard motors.iQ motor optimizes its efficiency through the design based on EC technology, combining a permanent magnet with a microprocessor that regulates its operation, consuming only 8W compared to the 29W of the previous model.
An example that demonstrates energy and ecological savings can be seen in a commercial plant of 850 m2 of surface, with about 85 fans of 200 mm in diameter. Replacing them with iQ motor, energy consumption will be reduced by 10.5 MWh annually and 6.2 tons of CO2 will be produced less than with other devices.
