QEI mixed flow fans are now available with aluminum type A material construction options and spark resistance. The expanded offering of building materials combined with QEI's high-efficiency mixed flow wheel makes it an excellent solution for challenging exhaust air applications.
The aluminum material option that includes an aluminum mixed-flow drive wheel, inlet cone, housing, and straightening vanes is ideal for high-humidity environments and corrosive environments where aluminum is a better choice than coated steel.
The aluminum construction also reduces the overall weight of the fan for easier handling, as well as structural concerns within a facility. The spark-resistant Type A construction adds shaft seals, non-ferrous shaft covers, and welded tubular housing to ensure there are no sparkling materials in the air stream.
It should be noted that it is suitable for flammable applications such as dust, gases or vapors. The QEI belt drive model, QEID direct drive model and QEID-FJ FumeJet are licensed by AMCA for sound and air performance and FEI fan power index.
