Spectroline's® AR-GLO/E® universal dye can be used in any refrigeration or air conditioning system with any type of refrigerant or lubricant. The AR-GLO/E shines brighter than others, making it easier and more accurate to locate leaks. It does not contain cosolvents and has no adverse effects on the viscosity or lubricity of the system oil and does not corrode the components.
When added to the system, it circulates with the coolant and oil. If there is any leakage, the oil and dye mixture will leak with the coolant. To check for repairs, the area is sprayed with the GLO-AWAY™ leak cleaner and a damp cloth, and then inspected again with the specialized lamp. The absence of brightness indicates that the repairs were made properly. The dye remains in the system without causing side effects for future system inspections.
