A year and a half ago that Técnico Central began its journey through these websites. Time has given us new perspectives that we want to share with those who have an interest in them.
There have been several phases that we have gone through. Now we begin another, more complex, more coherent.
Técnico Central is nothing more than a particular and semi-altruistic initiative, since there is a component of self-realization when developing some content and shaping others, thus facilitating the approach to our news users whose theme always surrounds solutions of sustainable orientation.
During this time we have seen some social transformation, and the recovery, albeit modest, of the original connotations of the word sustainability. Of this recovery, the main cause we believe is none other than the economic crisis, although we like to think that it is we, along with another myriad of sources and activist initiatives, who are responsible for some kind of minor contribution.
Precisely for this reason, we are developing (without haste but without pause) the Sustainability 2.0 platform that will integrate several tools that facilitate the promotion of sustainable content. To do this we have started by acquiring the domain sostenibilidad.org in the web domain market, where it was "parked" and underused. At the moment, the applications implemented are:
ECOS of sustainability [ http://ecos.sostenibilidad.org ].- Portal for the promotion of sustainable content, such as initiatives, alerts and complaints, quality of life, technology, environment, trends and opinion. It is a kind of menéame.net of sustainability; an amplifier of those feelings and sensations poured into the web in the form of content, whose central axis is real sustainability.
Any user can include in ECOS those news, articles or websites that have caught their attention and wish to share with the rest of the users, who in turn will be responsible for deciding the relevance of said content.
SUSTAINABILITY FORUMS [ http://foros.sostenibilidad.org ].- Collaborative application that allows to deepen in more specific aspects. For our activity we can collaborate in the disciplines of sustainable construction and energy efficiency, but the forums are open to sustainability in any type of activity: agriculture, health, philosophy, ways of life ... You just have to propose it.
TecnoSOStenible [ http://tecno.sostenibilidad.org ].- And this is the new accommodation of our old and beloved Central Technician, to which we have dedicated so many hours. However, its orientation varies with respect to the previous stage, becoming exclusively technical and hosting from now on press releases, technological advances, articles and applications that facilitate the implementation and calculation of appropriate technologies and less harmful to the environment.

We hope that this new phase in which we are entering will be at least as productive as the previous one, and that the new TecnoSOStenible, now housed in http://tecno.sostenibilidad.org, will be useful, and that it will contribute in something to outline more hopeful future scenarios.
