The Community of Madrid, through PromoMadrid, and with the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Association for the Internationalization and Innovation of Solar Companies (Solartys) has promoted the participation of a group of Madrid companies in the Energaïa 2010 Fair, International Exhibition of Renewable Energies, which is held from today to December 11 in the French city of Montpellier, has been reported by the regional government.
For this edition, the presence of more than 450 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors is expected, before which the representation of the Community of Madrid has the opportunity to show the projection of Madrid companies in the sector, which boast a recognized prestige at an international level.
In the last five years, the production of the energy sector in the Community of Madrid has grown by 63%, representing almost 2 percent of the total GDP of the region (3,527 million euros).
In addition to participating in the commercial exhibitions and technical talks during their stay at Energaïa, Madrid companies will hold business meetings with experts and companies in the sector from other countries, thus identifying opportunities for cooperation and possible synergies, and enhancing the business fabric of the Region and its international visibility.
The Energaïa Fair, a meeting point for professionals in renewable energies such as solar, wind or hydraulic energy, among others, is considered one of the main events in the sector at an international level due to the high quality of the exhibitors that make it up, as well as its complete and extensive program of technical conferences and business forums.
Madrid companies come in order to present their novelties and services, a commercial activity that is completed with participation in conferences with the aim of knowing the latest trends in renewable energies in construction and energy management.
In this way, the business fabric of Madrid, as well as the rest of the attendees, has the opportunity to know during the four days of the fair and from the hand of international experts, the most representative advances and projects in terms of investment, research, action protocols and local and regional policies, development of the photovoltaic and thermal solar industry, investment programs of the countries of the Mediterranean area, ecological construction, among others.
