HTML. Definition according to wikipedia:

HTML, short for HyperText Markup Language , is the predominant markup language for web page development. It is used to describe structure and content in text form, as well as to supplement text with objects such as images. HTML is written in the form of "tags", surrounded by angle brackets  (<,>). HTML can also describe, to a certain extent, the appearance of a document, and may include a script  (e.g. Javascript), which can affect the behavior of web browsers and other HTML processors.

PHP. Definition according to wikipedia:

PHP  is an interpreted programming language, originally designed for the creation of dynamic web pages. It is mainly used in server-side scripting but can currently be used from a command line interface or in the creation of other types of programs including applications with graphical interface using the Qt or GTK+ libraries .

Apache. Definition according to wikipedia:

The  Apache  HTTP serveris an open source HTTP  web server for Unix  platforms (BSD,  GNU/Linux, etc.),  Microsoft Windows,  Macintosh and others, which implements the HTTP/1.1^{protocol 1} and the notion of virtual site. When it began development in 1995 it was initially based on code from the popular NCSA HTTPd 1.3, but was later completely rewritten. Its name is due to the fact that Behelendorf wanted it to have the connotation of something that is firm and energetic but not aggressive, and the Apache tribe was the last to surrender to what would soon become the US government, and at that time the concern of his group was that companies would arrive and "civilize" the landscape that the first Internet engineers had created. In addition, Apache consisted of only a set of patches to be applied to the NCSA server. It was, in English,  a patchy server .

The Apache server is developed within the APACHE Software Foundation's HTTP Server (httpd) project.

Apache features among other highly configurable features, authentication databases and content negotiation, but was criticized for the lack of a graphical interface to help in its configuration.

Apache has wide acceptance in the network: since 1996, Apache is the most used HTTP server. It reached its maximum market share in 2005 being the server used in 70% of the websites in the world, however it has suffered a decline in its market share in recent years. Most of the security vulnerabilities discovered and resolved can only be exploited by local users and not remotely. However, some can be operated remotely in certain situations, or exploited by malevolent local users in shared receiving arrangements that use PHP as an Apache module.

MySql. Definition according to wikipedia:

MySQL  is a relational,  multi-threaded and multi-user database management system with more than six million installations. ¹ MySQL AB —since January 2008 , a subsidiary of Sun Microsystems and its subsidiary of Oracle Corporation since April 2009—has been developing MySQL as free software on a dual licensing basis.

On the one hand it is offered under the GNU GPL for any use compatible with this license, but for those companies that want to incorporate it into proprietary products they must buy from the company a specific license that allows them this use. It is developed for the most part in ANSI C.

Unlike projects like Apache, where software is developed by a public community and the copyright of the code is held by the individual author, MySQL is sponsored by a private company, which owns the copyright for most of the code.

This is what makes the aforementioned licensing scheme possible. In addition to the sale of proprietary licenses, the company offers support and services. For their operations they hire workers around the world who collaborate via the Internet. MySQL AB was founded by David Axmark,  Allan Larsson and Michael Widenius.

XAMMP. Definition according to wikipedia:

XAMPP  is a platform-independent   server , free software, consisting mainly of the MySQL database, the Apache Web server and the interpreters for scripting languages: PHP and Perl. The name comes from the acronym of X (for any of the different operating systems), Apache,M  and SQL,P  HP,P  erl. The program is released under the GNU license and acts as a free Web server, easy to use and capable of interpreting dynamic pages. XAMPP is currently available for Microsoft Windows,  GNU/Linux,  Solaris, and MacOS X.

CSS. Definition according to wikipedia:

    Cascading Style Sheets, CSS is a language used to define the presentation of a structured document written in HTML or XML  (and by extension in XHTML). The W3C  (World Wide Web Consortium) is responsible for formulating the specification of the style sheets that will serve as a standard for user agents or browsers.

The idea behind CSS development is to separate the structure of a document from its presentation.

For example, the HTML <h1> element indicates that a block of text is a heading and that it is more important than a block labeled as. <H2> Older versions of HTML allowed extra attributes within the open tag to format it (such as color or font size ). However, each tag <H1> had to have the information if a consistent design for a page was desired and, in addition, a person who reads that page with a browser completely loses control over the display of the text.

When using CSS, the tag <H1> should not provide information about how it will be displayed, it only marks the structure of the document. Separate style information in a style sheet specifies how to display<H1>: color, font, text alignment, size, and other non-visual features such as defining the volume of a speech  synthesizer (see Speech Synthesis), for example.

Style information can be attached either as a separate document or in the same HTML document. In the latter case, general styles could be defined in the header of the document or in each particular tag using the "style" attribute.

Browsers understand html and css. Html we can say that it is the content and Css the appearance. As we want web pages to change depending on, for example, the state of a machine, we will use php to modify the html code. The websites we make are saved in a folder called htdocs that is located inside the xammp folder.

Our first website:

To make our first website we will use the notepad. Later we will see some editors that make our work a little easier.

We created a folder called Test1 in C:/xammp/htdocs/

We save the file created with the notebook in C:/xammp/htdocs/Test1 with the name index.html

We are ready. We start the server as we saw in the previous post and go to the browser:

As we can see we have put the address http://localhost/Prueba1, we do not specify the name of the page since having the index name the server recognizes it as a home page and sends it.
We can do another test, we open the notebook, and with this the index file we had created, we give it to save as and modify the extension by .php. We delete the index file.html and return when we open it in the browser. In this way we will verify that the result is the same.
