Recognition given to eco-friendly companies

Cuba. The Technical Office of Ozone of Havana granted the recognition "Free of chlorofluorocarbons" to different companies that are based in the province of Camagüey for their constant work in the protection of the ozone layer. Among the winners are the Railway Computer Services Company, the provincial subordination agencies Servisa, the stores of the Caracol chain and the hotel that bears the same name and the Construction Company of the Electrical Industry. On September 16, during the central event that commemorates the World Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, this certification will be delivered, which allows us to thank the winning companies for eradicating from their processes, their services and their products the refrigerant chlorofluorocarbon, recognized for depleting the ozone layer. For some years Cuba has put an end to the import of this substance and has been regulating in an exemplary manner its use in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, either through the acquisition of equipment with new technologies or through the conversion of existing systems.
