Colombia. From yesterday until today, April 23, 2010, Acaire, Colombian Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, holds a series of talks in which speakers from ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) participate.On Thursday the 22nd, engineers Ross D. Montgomery and Hoy Bohanon presented the theme: Exploring High-Performance Solutions in Green Buildings, at the Crowne Plaza Tequendama Hotel.
In this conference they talked about the update of ASHRAE 189.1: Standard for the design and high performance of green buildings and the Building Signage Program; BeQ ASHRAE Standard 189.1 update and BeQ (Building Labeling Program update), as well as the use of the retro-commissioning process for energy savings and commissioning in energy recovery equipment.
The course on Indoor air quality and energy in efficient buildings, the vision of ASHRAE, will be held today Friday with the intervention of the two engineers mentioned above and Fabio Clavijo, from Acaire.
This space will address standards 90.1 and 62.1, the applications of Standard 62.1, multi-space equation, how to implement the demand for ventilation control and comply with ASHRAE and energy audits.
These topics are aimed at engineers and technicians in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, builders, architects and investors, who are interested in achieving high performance in green buildings.
