United States. A new plant to design and manufacture R410A refrigerant scroll compressors was opened in Syracuse, New York, by Bitzer Scroll, Inc., a subsidiary of Bitzer SE of Sindelfingen, Germany.The opening of this plant, the second in the country, was carried out by Peter Schaufler, Senator h.c., leader of the BITZER group.
Richard Kobor, chief technology officer and president of Bitzer Scroll, Inc. explained that the company's competence in research and development led them to select this location for the implementation of their new factory, due to the intellectual wealth and existing talent for production in this geographical area.
With this new opening, the company will expand its portfolio of scroll compressor products, offering air conditioner manufacturers and contractors a range of equipment from 20 to 320 HP.
