USA. Data shown by the new AirAdvice report, called: State of The Performance of Building Constructions 2007, shows that out of ten buildings, nine of them do not meet the minimum and acceptable standards of comfort and energy efficiency. Both these, as well as other findings noted in the report, suggest significant opportunities to reduce energy consumption and operating costs as well as improve the performance of commercial systems.
Many buildings suffer from basic failures in the level of energy efficiency and these conditions can cause complaints, which in fact were found in 75 percent of the buildings surveyed. Over-ventilation is the most common cause of excessive energy utilization related to HVAC systems.
The AirAdvice report defines the updated status of the performance of HVAC systems in the United States and was conducted since June 2006 in more than 300 commercial buildings and with more than 3700 internal environmental analyses.
