Mexico. The company strengthens its presence by expanding its logistics network in the west of the country; This is the second warehouse opened in 2025. Mexico continues to consolidate itself as a strategic market for cold food logistics.
In this context, Emergent Cold Latin America (Emergent Cold LatAm), a provider of cold chain logistics solutions in Latin America, announced the inauguration of a new storage center in the state of Jalisco, scheduled for November 26.
The new warehouse is located in Cond Flex Park, within the El Laurel industrial corridor, in the municipality of Tlajomulco, and required an investment of USD 30 million. The facility is part of the company's expansion plan in the country and seeks to meet the growing demand for specialized logistics services in the Western region.
The center will have 12,000 pallet positions, distributed over 81,000 cubic meters, with the capacity to store up to 12,000 tons of food under temperature-controlled conditions. In addition, its implementation will generate 60 direct jobs and 180 indirect jobs, boosting local economic activity. The property was also designed with expansion potential, which will allow doubling the installed capacity as the market evolves.
"Jalisco has established itself as a key point for supply chains in the west of the country, thanks to its connection with the ports of Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas and its growing industrial activity," said Juan Pablo Benítez, general director of Emergent Cold LatAm in Mexico. "With this opening, we reaffirm our commitment to invest in modern infrastructure that enables our customers to operate with greater safety, efficiency and global cold chain standards."
This project represents the second warehouse that Emergent Cold LatAm opens in Mexico during 2025. In March of this year, the company put into operation its first facility built in the country, with an investment of USD 50 million. In addition, the expansions previously carried out in Villagrán, Guanajuato, and Apodaca, Nuevo León, as well as the ongoing development of a new center in Monterrey.
With the opening in Jalisco, Emergent Cold LatAm reaches a total of 36 multi-temperature warehouses in Mexico, strategically distributed from Baja California to the Central Zone, reinforcing its capacity to serve the national food industry.
Since its arrival in the country in 2022, the company has strengthened its presence through acquisitions and the development of new infrastructure, with the aim of increasing the efficiency, safety, and reliability of food supply chains in Mexico.
