International. During the months of October and November, a series of specialized technical seminars were held in San Jose, Costa Rica, and Miami, Florida, focused on strengthening technical knowledge and professional exchange in the HVAC industry.
The conference brought together more than 60 customers from more than 15 countries in Central America and the Caribbean, consolidating itself as a space for updating and networking for the sector.
The sessions were oriented towards the presentation of HVAC solutions and equipment of the Midea brand, addressing both residential and commercial and industrial applications. The agenda included the participation of specialists and executives from the technical, commercial and service areas, who shared experiences, market trends and best practices for the correct installation, operation and maintenance of the systems.
Among the technologies presented, the new generation of VCMax VRF systems, designed to facilitate installation and improve operational flexibility, as well as the Atom C mini VRF, a compact solution aimed at small spaces, stood out. Both devices, with cold operation only, incorporate improvements focused on user comfort and service efficiency, including Bluetooth connectivity for diagnostics and technical support.
In package systems, AHRI certified units between 13.4 and 18 SEER2 were announced, available in on/off and inverter versions, as well as the announcement of future three-phase inverter units with capacities ranging from 7.5 to 30 tons of refrigeration. Likewise, the CoolAutomation control line was presented, aimed at the integration, automation, remote monitoring and advanced diagnosis of VRF systems, mini-splits and other applications.
The cooler portfolio was also part of the technical program, with an emphasis on centrifugal chillers with magnetic bearings, recognized for their high efficiency and low maintenance requirement, as well as air-cooled modular inverter chillers, which offer scalability and precise operation thanks to high-efficiency inverter scroll compressors.
The active participation of the attendees and the technical level of the consultations evidenced the interest of the regional market in high-performance HVAC solutions. The organizers stressed that this type of initiative will continue to be developed with the aim of strengthening technical training and collaboration in Central America and the Caribbean.
Oldach Trading, organizer of the seminars, is a subsidiary of Oldach Associates LLC, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and distributor of the Midea and MDV brands, among others, in the region.
