United States. The company was awarded in the Energy Innovation and Software Implementation categories for its Abound solutions, which optimize energy consumption in more than 2,500 stores in the U.S.
The awards—in the categories of Energy Innovation and Software Implementation—highlight Carrier's commitment to sustainability and the digitalization of operations through artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Energy savings and emission reduction
In the Energy Innovation category, the Abound solution was implemented in more than 400 stores of a well-known sports shoe retail chain in the U.S. The project, which included refurbishments and new openings, made it possible to automate operations, digitise processes and apply predictive analytics to improve energy consumption.
As a result, energy savings of more than 15% were achieved, while 78% of HVAC issues were resolved remotely, significantly reducing technician visits and greenhouse gas emissions.
For its part, in the Software Implementation category, Carrier was recognized for its work with a major discount store chain, with which it has worked since 2019. To date, the initiative has covered more than 2,100 stores and has enabled savings of more than 145 million kWh of energy.
The system enabled 45% of work orders to be resolved remotely, avoiding unnecessary technician travel and generating an estimated savings of $6.9 million for the retailer.
