Multifrío was awarded as one of the best companies in Central America

Multifrío fue premiada como una de las mejores compañías de Centroamérica

Costa Rica. After comparing its financial performance and operating practices with those of other companies in the sector, Multifrío was selected as part of the official list of Best Central American Companies (MECA) 2024.

The fourth edition of MECA had the registration of 115 companies in the region. Of these, 65 advanced to the documentation phase and 48 were evaluated by a multidisciplinary technical committee, which analyzed and weighed their level of maturity, taking Deloitte's Value Map and its 5 drivers as a methodology:

  • Growth in sales.
  • Operating margin.
  • Efficiency in asset management.
  • Management of strengths and external factors.
  • Talent and sustainability.

In this way, 28 Central American companies obtained this distinction with global recognition, demonstrating a high level of excellence in their operating practices and financial results.

This is the third consecutive time that Multifrío has won the award for its experience and results. Representatives of the company participated in the closing events of the fourth edition, held in San Salvador from November 13 to 14, during which executives from the 28 recognized companies met.

Engineer Salo Ponchner (center in the image), CEO of Multifrío, expressed "his satisfaction at participating in the challenge imposed by the Best Central American Companies methodology" and highlighted "the importance of maintaining Multifrío with innovation practices and constant progress both internally and towards its customers."

MECCA
It is an initiative promoted since 2021 by Deloitte, Grupo Promerica and INCAE Business School, with the aim of recognizing the most outstanding private medium-sized companies in the region

"Multifrío invites medium-sized companies to be part of the MECA program. Regardless of the result, all companies that conclude the process receive pro-bono advice from coaches from the three promoting institutions, as well as a comprehensive diagnosis at no cost, which, in a totally confidential manner, highlights their main strengths and identifies a series of recommendations from business experts on how to continue optimizing their operations and results," the company said.

"Obtaining the MECA 2024 distinction demonstrates Multifrío's commitment to promoting a culture of continuous improvement, excellence and social responsibility, as well as the recognition by three important institutions in the region of their good results and operational practices," concluded Salo Ponchner.
