Colombia. After his appointment, two weeks ago, as Bitzer's sales manager for Colombia and Ecuador, Engineer Giovanni Barletta shares with us his impressions and expectations as the holder of the position.
"Bitzer has grown and taken a position in the market, both for new compressor technologies for CO2 and by entering the manufacturing and aftermarket sector in air conditioning compressors. In this expansion, and given the fact of taking control of countries such as Ecuador, it was necessary to strengthen human capital and in fact my relationship aims to strengthen manufacturers of refrigeration equipment in Ecuador that apply transcritical solutions with CO2 and in addition to that promote the application of Bitzer scroll technology from manufacturers located in Colombia and develop other lines of business", declared the executive.
The new Sales Manager also indicated that the growth expectation is very high and that it would even be contemplated to venture into the Venezuelan market.
"The expectation is to have a local office; an official from Chile who is going to be based in Colombia has been transferred. We are going to have inventory and all this implies having more human resources and fortunately, I accepted the challenge of being aligned with these new paths and well mine is Colombia, Ecuador and some Venezuela while we can reactivate trade with Venezuela and provide support in the issue of training, end users and much of what I have been doing for so many years," Barletta added.
