ASHRAE hosts indoor air quality conference in Panama City

ASHRAE organizó conferencia sobre calidad del aire interior en Ciudad de Panamá

Panama. On September 3, 2024, the Central American Section of ASHRAE held an event in Panama City. It brought together members, professionals from the sector, engineers and industry experts to address a crucial issue today: indoor air quality.

The event was attended by the president of the ASHRAE Central America Section, José Luis Urrutia Borrero, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of this event type of activities for the professional community of the region.

The conference was given by Raúl Contreras, Belimo's Regional Application Consultant for Latin America and a recognized expert in building automation and indoor air quality. During his presentation, Contreras shared the latest regulations, guides and strategies to ensure the correct implementation of systems that ensure air quality in indoor spaces. In addition, he presented examples and practical case studies that captured the interest of the attendees.

The event underscored the importance of maintaining high standards in indoor air quality, a relevant issue in the current context where the health and well-being of building occupants has become a priority. Attendees took the opportunity to interact with the speaker, asking questions and sharing their own experiences, enriching the dialogue among those present.

With this event, ASHRAE Central American Section reaffirms its commitment to the promotion of knowledge and good practices in the region, promoting the adoption of technologies and strategies that contribute to the creation of healthier and more efficient environments. "The event was very fruitful, and the organization sincerely thanks all the participants, as well as engineer Raúl Contreras y Belimo, for their invaluable contribution and sponsorship. It is hoped that these types of gatherings will continue to inspire the professional community to continue advancing in improving indoor air quality throughout the region," the organization said.
